Edit Button has vanished?

Is it just me having a glitch or has the edit button been removed?

I posted a post on another page a minute ago, and just checked if the edit button came up, and it did.

How long did you give it between the post and the edit OP?

I'm pretty sure you only get a certain amount of time in which to edit?

It's just 10 minutes.

There's a fairly short time limit for editing.

The time limit for editing a post is 5 minutes.

For me anyway.

As posters mentioned above, there is a time limit. You'll have a few minutes to make any edits and then the option to edit will disappear from that post.

can I just ask why if you edit can the original post still be viewed? It seems to defeat the point of editing really, although I’ve only ever done it to correct spelling or add info.

It's so that everyone can see the original, and therefore will realise if the OP is changing their post too much/to change its original meaning.
