Do you mean as in no juicy stuff or conversations not moving fast? I was wondering if there'd be loads of new folk after that Times article and it'd be a bit manic.

southeastastra · 20/03/2008 16:32

lol, no, as in really slow to load pages

TurkeyLurkey · 20/03/2008 16:34

Oh!!!! No, mines dead fast. Isn't it more to do with your connection though??

GeekBoy · 20/03/2008 16:38

Just had a quick browse around the site and can't find a page that takes longer than 2.94 seconds to load.. ...quickest page was 1.3s, quickest with ads turned off/blocked, 0.89s - none of those figures seem shabby at all..

southeastastra · 20/03/2008 16:38

oh maybe it's me then. other sites seem to load quicker. oh well

oggsfrog · 20/03/2008 16:52

I've noticed it seems particularly slow recently, but then I only have a 16.8kbps connection so everything is slow anyway.
I can take up to ten minutes to load a page sometimes (I can't even block the bloody ads) and haven't a hope in hell of being able to watch youtube clips . No way we can get broadband either

southeastastra · 20/03/2008 18:33

no it's just this site i'm sure. it's driving me bananas

Has been very slow for me too. Not always, but intermittently. And it is getting worse.

Needs an oil change or something.

AngharadGoldenhand · 20/03/2008 18:45

Mine's intermittently slow, too. On broadband.

lilyloo · 20/03/2008 18:46

i have this intermittantly and it is only this site. I usually use fire fox when it's like that and that seems a little better. Don't know how to fix it though as it's fine at the moment.

glad it isn't just me then. i get fed up with the little blue circle at the top tab whirring around like a washing machine.

Perhaps it's trying to drop you a hint southeastra

southeastastra · 20/03/2008 19:03

OP posts:
Threadworm · 20/03/2008 19:09

Polgara2 · 21/03/2008 17:54

Oh this is driving me bananas as well - this is the only site that is slow to load! Am using firefox already.
