Dubious company using Mums net name - MN position?

TeenDivided · 16/01/2024 16:15

Young Vibes / peaky Parents / ..... (has had multiple names)

Latest incarnation is to use the web address themumsnet.com and a logo saying Mum's Net for Children

They absolutely know what they are doing as they have moaned about MNetters debating their dubious ethics.

Would like to know whether MN have their legal bods involved?

Interesting.

If you report your post you will draw MNHQ's attention to the thread. I don't think they actively monitor this board.

Hi there @TeenDivided. Thanks for making us aware of this. We'll pass the info on to the relevant people here.

Thanks. I did report a post on a thread where it was first discussed, but it might have got lost in moderation.

I feel outraged on behalf of MN that such a dubious company is doing this. It is blatant. There is no way they are unaware of Mumsnet's existence, so they can't plead ignorance.

…I share your outrage @TeenDivided 😡

Can’t believe she’s still bloody going on with it all? Such a weird thing to do though.

putonyourwarpaint · 22/03/2024 08:04

Yet again!!

Just seen the rebranding. She’s now saying that what they do is actually physiotherapy! And more about kids being labelled with high functioning autism.

BeechLeaves · 14/07/2024 11:30

I think maybe she doesn’t understand the word physiotherapy.

They are now operating as Anxious to Awesome. Are we on the 5th or 6th name?
also make sure to listen to the BBC BBC report on them and you’ll find out exactly who these people are. Snakes. Unqualified snakes.

I bought one of the books (to take a closer look) and it is obviously written by someone with minimal understanding of mental health. It’s a shame -we’d all love a ‘cure’, the reality is there isn’t one. The marketing reminds me of The Linden Method - making one man lots of money for reinventing the wheel and scamming people 😢

Sam doesn’t have a single clue about how to work with any child with Neurodivergence. They promised me they’d be able to help me manage everything with my ADHD and didn’t lift a single finger. They couldn’t even be bothered to send weekly reminders of the meeting. The sheer volume of videos and things you’re supposed to watch and do is so overwhelming.. she has no education, no training, no certification in any of this. She’s read some books and put a lot of her opinion into and she’s very dogmatic.

Yes, that’s why I’m so mad at myself. I knew 1 million things more than they did even in the interview and none of it seem new so that’s why I don’t know. I was so freaking stupid to sign up.
