Thanks option and finding out who thanked me

Hi Mumsnet,

Regarding the new “Thanks” feature I seem to remember when it was first implemented if anyone thanked a post I had made I got a email telling me who had thanked me.

I tend to disable email notifications so I think I have turned this setting off. But in my “Notifications” on the site itself (little red circle with number in it on top right on web browser on my tablet) I can only see that I have been thanked and not who did this.

But I cannot find the setting to turn on the email notification again.

Am I imagining that I ever knew who was doing the thanking? I don’t mind turning on email notifications again for this but cannot find the setting. But I would most prefer for the user name of the person doing the thanking to be in my notifications on the web, if it is possible to implement this.

Click on the Thanks on the post and it tells you

If you click on the thanks symbol below the thanked post it will tell you who has thanked you. It usually has a little number on it.

If you just tap on the thanks on the post, it will tell you who it was.
