Line spacing

Is it possible to stop the addition of extra spacing after a 'paragraph return?' Or to allow us to choose our own line spacing?

Your line spacing seems to be set at 1.5, but when a paragraph return (or 'enter') is used, it automatically seems to add two line spacing, which makes a longer post, using paragraphs or bullet points very long and looks unwieldy.

(I realise this is a very first-world question and I'm sure it's not going to be anywhere near the top of Tech's list Wink)

I've just written a new post on the latest Bootcamp thread and with several bullet points, as well as paragraphs, it makes it look very long - and I know long posts can be off-putting.

When I wrote it, with normal spacing between paragraphs (i.e. one line) and no spacing after the bullet points, it looked fine. But when it appeared in the thread the spacing was different to that which I typed. And although I've tried to edit it, it seems that your spacing overrides mine.

Yes, I know, too much time on my hands, blah blah blah ...

(Oh, and I'm using the desktop site, Mac, Safari as I know you'll ask)

Any thoughts MNHQ? I know it's not a massive issue, but it would be nice to know that someone has at least read my post Grin

Hi BIWI

Thanks for the suggestion and sorry for the delayed response - we'll blame it on the gin cupboard.

We'll have a discussion about this in the office.

Happy new year!

All these autoformatting features are annoying, I have asked several times about the problem where if you start a numbered line with any number other than 1 it converts it to a 1 unless you remember to use punctuation other than a full stop. For threads such as the 26 books one where you start a post with 10. Harry Potter or whatever.

Can’t we just have plain text and format it ourselves.
