Not getting notifications of PMs

I have it ticked in settings to notify me if anyone messages me but it never does.
Recently chatting with a poster by PM and I keep missing her replies as I don't get an email. I do realise there is a red dot at the top of the screen but I don't notice them.

Can you email [email protected]? We'll look at your email address and see if there are any issues our end (we can't see any at the moment).

Thanks Lily. I've sorted it it was my email at fault.
