How do you change usernames for different threads?

I'm on the app but can access the main site on my phone.

Hi again @flowerssss . Unfortunately, you can't change your name on the Android App but on the iOS app you can change username in the app by going to ‘My Mumsnet’ in the menu and changing it there. If you're on Android you'll need to go to the main site and log in. Then click on the blue 'person' top right and choose 'Settings'. From there it's fairly obvious. Just make sure you hit 'save' once you've changed.

Hi @HebeMumsnet thank you. I know how to change my username on iOS. I probably didn't explain myself too well, sorry. I meant let's say I was to reply on thread A as flowersss but wanted to be HAPPY123 on thread B, how would I do this without having to keep changing usernames? I know another poster who does this and she doesn't need to keep changing it everytime she posts on different threads. I hope I'm making sense!

You need to change it the first time in Settings, in order to register that name as yours. Once you've done that you can just type over the "your username " prefilled box above the post you're typing.

As long as you enter it correctly and it's yours, you don't need to go to Settings each time.

This is on the browser/ mobile site. I don't know about the app.
