Can I set 'Compact view' to be my default?

Is there a way to set the view back to the normal compact view, rather than OP view, as a default? It changes back every time I open the topic again/ a new topic. I don't like the size of the post when it's on, and it's frustrating (to me) that it opens every thread as a new page- I often click it open and then just use the new screen to move on to the next thread, so end up with 17 tabs open and a slow running laptop.

You can change compact view in your talk settings here: https://www.mumsnet.com/settings/talk

It's at the top of the list - don't forget to save your changes! Once that's done, compact view will be your default.
