Font size suddenly tiny on mobile site

Font size has suddenly gone teeny on the mobile site.
I notice this was raised a few days ago but there didn’t seem to be any update from mnhq.

Using iPhone on Safari. It’s nothing to do with settings font sizing or zooming in/out all other websites are as normal, just Mumsnet that is affected.

Coupled with long sightedness, making it impossible to use…….

Hi there @ImNunTheWiser . We'll have a look at this now.

Firstly would you mind just double checking that if you click on the Aa icon on the top left, where there's a zoom setting, you definitely have it set it to 100%? Sometimes this seems to 'slip' back to a different setting without warning!

And assuming that's all as it should be could you tell us what device and browser you are viewing the mobile site from, please?

Thank you!

Hi yes iPhone 14 on safari. And you’re right it is the Aa zoom that is setting to 85% on launching the site. However, if I reset it and open Mumsnet again later it’s resetting it back. Not happening in other websites. Easy to sort out but obviously something odd happening.

Hi there @ImNunTheWiser. Thanks for the further info. We'll see if we can replicate this here and work out a way to stop it reverting to tiny type.

Hello again @ImNunTheWiser . One more thing - could you try clearing your cache first and just seeing if that makes any difference?

ImNunTheWiser · 06/12/2023 17:56

Sorry only just seen this….
hmmm, I did that and it does seem to have made a difference. So far hasn’t reverted to small font…..
