Non controversial harmless threads being deleted

I'm having trouble understanding why some harmless and non controversial threads been getting deleted recently? Earlier today a harmless thread about body shop body butter being sold in one beyond was deleted, the other night a thread about someone almost dying of a serious illness which affects certain ethnic groups which was missed by health professionals because the OP was white passing. They were making the point that mis-ethnicking someone can have serious consequences but isn't talked about as much.

I don't understand it at all. I can understand goady or abusive threads being deleted, but this seems a bit overkill?

Hi there @Wheeking15. Generally there should be a deletion message when threads are taken down which should tell you the reason why a thread was deleted. If that's not the case, or it's not clear, however, we're always happy to have a look and give you more information where you can. If you can tell us more about these threads and where they are, or have a url, we'd be happy to have a look back and see if we can tell you more.
