Unable to add an image to a thread

I wonder if anyone else is having this issue? As of yesterday, I’ve been unable to add a picture to a thread. I’ve tried many different pictures and they’re all less than 6MB. Every time I click on a picture and try to add it, it takes me onto a completely different thread or back to the thread I was on and my comment has disappeared.

I’ve also noticed that before, I could write a comment, come off of Safari to do something, come back and my comment would still be in the text box. Now if I come off of Safari, my comments completely disappear. What the heck is going on?😆

You mention safari but can we ask what device that's on?

Without knowing too much, it does sound like browser cache needs to be cleared. Are you able to give this a go? You can clear the cache for Mumsnet only.

I’m using an Iphone 12 or 13 (can’t remember which one I have). How do I go about clearing a cache? I have no clue what that actually is, sorry🫣

Copying these instructions over (I'm on chrome) -

• Open Safari, click the gear icon at the upper-right corner, and click Preferences.
• Next click Privacy tab, and choose Details.
• Choose the target website, and click Remove button to clear cache for the site.
