what is COD and what is the MN challenge all about?

I've been reading a load of threads here and the use of COD is confusing me!! Sorry but I don't understand what it means!! Please someone enlighten me!

Also what is the MN challenge. I've found references to it, but I cannot find a thread that explains it!

cod is a mumsnetter and the challenge was her being daft and starting a thread saying how about we all do ... er.. something, start daft threads I think.

Some people liked it, some people didn't and then people started arguing about it. I just ignored it. It seemed the least hassle.

Cod is a poster. A prolific poster. Can't type for shit. Usually to be found on Style threads.

And anywhere else she feels like sticking her sticky beak in!

She started a challenge which some posters took too far and there was all sorts of bad feeling over the weekend so it was deleted.
