My mumsnet has gone funny

Oh dear my MN has gone funny. I can't read any OP's post when I go on a thread. And some threads seem to be stuck on the same page. Anyone else?

OP posts:

Thanks for letting us know about this -
have alerted tech.

saltire · 11/03/2008 16:10

Mine has as well. If I log in it's fine, it's how I set it up, but if I'm just browsing - reaidng a couple of threads I don't always log in. I started to read a thread by twiglett. It has 2 pages. the OP is on page 2, then all the others on page 1. the newest thread is first. usually when it's in page format, the Op is at the top, on page 1.

GentleOtter · 11/03/2008 19:08

And is it just me or are the posts upside down now? The last post comes up first. This has minced my head.

GentleOtter · 11/03/2008 19:09

Oh! It is normal here but not normal on the 'ethical living' chicken thread.

stoppinattwo · 11/03/2008 19:31

oh was just gonna start this............count me in

melsy · 13/03/2008 10:34

oohhh thought it was me , its getting very confusing reading it like this. Was about to start a thread also.

1973magpie · 13/03/2008 11:02

I thought it was just me too!

All the posts need 'flipping' again, I much preferred it when it was changed last time so that the first post came up first!!

I keep getting stuck on the same page, sometimes when I flip the thread it seems quite random which page comes up..... but maybe that's just me

CarrieMumsnet · 13/03/2008 13:45

Oh dear - is this still happening ? Sorry for the irritation and confusion.

Will see if I can get someone who might know what this means (alien attack?) and report back.

nikitakhatri · 13/03/2008 15:15

Haven't yet been able to recreate this. Need to clarify a couple of things here please.

When you have the problem, are you logged in or not? Also, could you please post a link to a thread where you see the problem, in case it is specific to a particular thread.

saltire · 13/03/2008 15:18

All the threads I go on - if I'm not logged in - are the same. The threads are looking as page format, but have recent post first. So a thread with 16 pages, would have the op on the last page (16) and at the bottom.

HerReasonableness · 13/03/2008 15:19

Mine's gone all fighty

Miggsie · 13/03/2008 15:21

mine has been randomly switching between first post first and last post first and shows the penultimate page as the ultimate page.
Glad it's not just me!

pandagirl03 · 14/03/2008 12:18

omg i thought it was me going mad, its driving me mad now. Hope its sorted soon, have re-read threads so many times today and yesterday. Think i am going to give up now until its fixed.

1973magpie · 14/03/2008 20:03

Still not working for me

I'm not logged in and it's affecting every thread, part of the OP is visible in a box at the top of the first page, but the posts are all back to front, and if you flip the thread then you can't get the rest of the posts/pages in any sort of order.

It's doing my head in completely! I hope it gets sorted soon. Will logging in stop this happening then?

glasjam · 14/03/2008 23:07

I am having this problem too. Driving me mad - especially infuriating when a thread has more than 1 page - keep re-reading the same posts. Have done all the logging in and selecting "book Style" but doesn't seem to register the change - been a few days now and it's late on Friday now - hope you get it sorted soon!

AbbyMumsnet · 15/03/2008 10:44

Hi - is this still an issue?

melsy · 15/03/2008 10:47

yes all back to front and confusing , unless logged onto classic.

AbbyMumsnet · 15/03/2008 11:14

This is way beyond my tech capabilities - everything looks normal from here. Have you tried logging off - restarting comp and seeing what happens then? Anyhow, I'll flag this up for the tech support lot - but might take a while to fix. Sorry.

glasjam · 15/03/2008 13:57

Yep - just checked back in this morning and same old thing happening - really annoying!!!

YetMoreTech · 18/03/2008 23:01

This is (hopefully) sorted. Well, that is to say, if you had a problem with flipping threads when you're not logged in, that has been sorted. If you've got other problems with talk threads, feel free to let us know.
