on the subject of pets/animals? Anyone else think this is a good idea?

I've been meaning to suggest this, too, for a while. What about a "Debate" forum? One of the best things about UKP is that most of the controversail topics get stuffed in there. If you don't want to get embroiled, you don't peek in there, and most of the rest of the threads are very 'nice' by comparison.

We have pretty much put a halt to adding new topics for the time being - a kind of if one topic dies it can be replaced but no more new ones, kind of thing. But we always take these suggestions seriously and I promise to add both ideas to the agenda for the monthly mumsnet meeting. Next one's in mid Jan so I'll let you know!

Thanks for the suggestion. I could certainly do with hampster advice!!

But what about a spellchecker...for Christmas?

A Mumsnetter is not just for Christmas but all year 'round...so keep this one happy and let her have a spellchecker.... Pleeeeease.... Grovel.....

Top tip bunglie - type your post in Word first, spellcheck, then copy and paste into mumsnet - voila!

Thanks I might end up doing something like that....good idea...[blush
Don't tell tech though as I still want my spellchecker

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 19/12/2004 18:44

Speaking of spell checkers, is there really a P in hamster?

BunglieOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 19/12/2004 18:59

I would not know...I am an illiterate Bunglie....who is either a gerbil or a bear of little brain....but either way a I am sure a Ham(p)ster is full of Peees

WigWamBam · 19/12/2004 19:07

There's no P in Hamster.
