Gone Dutch

Half of my adverts have gone Dutch, or possibly Danish??? I checked my iPad doesn’t think I’ve gone on a mini-break, and it seems to just be MN

It may be that your IP address is registering as in a different location than you actually are. Can you check here: https://whatismyipaddress.com/ and let us know if that's the case please? (Please don't post your IP address on this thread - just let us know if it's inaccurate).

If all looks well, we'll flag it to our Tech team to take a look at.

According to that link, the IP is correct and UK.

We've had a chat to our ads team, who say our ad serving is based on signals from each user's device so there's probably not much we can do from our end. However, there are a couple more things you can check that might fix it.

• Have a look at your browser settings. Check the default is not Dutch or has somehow slipped over to Dutch! You'd expect that to be causing the same problem on other sites, though, and it sounds like maybe you've already checked this.
• Are you using any VPN extensions? This might only affect certain webpages so would explain why you're only Dutch on Mumsnet!

Let us know if neither of those works and we'll ask around and see if anyone else can think of anything...

Those adverts are Dutch.
This happens to me very often - has done for the last year or so. But as I am Dutch and pop back there a couple of times a year I thought it was a ‘quirk’ due to that….

To add - it only happens on MN, not on any other sites I use…

May i just compliment @Hidingthegoodchocolate on her Dutch recognising skills?

My adverts also sometimes go dutch, but i assumed its because i speak dutch and sometimes like reading dutch newspapers online, etc.
