On Style and beauty, what’s with all the jowls, threads. Really old threads too! What is going on, can the old threads be locked?

Hi @Sincebreakfast - thanks for asking about this.

It looks like there have been a couple of MNers posting about having neck lifts recently, so any previous threads on this subject would be showing up in our Similar Threads box. They then get bumped back up the list as people post on them.

We don't tend to close old threads as a rule - particularly ones where the OP may be inclined to come back months (or even years!) later to update everyone on the results of their surgery.

Do report any threads you're concerned about, though - we're always happy to check them out.

No that's not correct. It's one "poster" repeatedly posting the same thing.

I call spam.

That's spam. Trying to generate Google searches and place some search results for the procedure they're wanting to give a Google Juice(tm) boost to.

No this was all exact same wording and same poster nickname

I reported that poster yesterday @HopeMumsnet!

I reported the relentless spammer twice yesterday! They revived at least a dozen zombie neck lift threads.
