More spam in camping and property

A lot of spam again in property and camping threads

Think I’ve got them!
im sure they’ll be back in a few minutes but I’ll try and keep on top of them

Thanks @Uachtar and of course @NiteWotcha - we're putting measures in place to try to prevent these spammers but they're pretty persistent.

The boards are still full of spam threads. Are these a threat to our personal info or just annoying?

It's just a stream of keyword text about a city called Hwaseong so like Hwaseong kiss Hwaseong hotel Hwaseong massage - you can copy some text and run it through Google translate.

The goal I assume is to get people to click on the link embedded in the text.

MN are supposedly taking steps to deal with this but no evidence of this and it's been weeks.

Thanks all. We've made some changes to our spam filters now (which we can't say openly because they'll circumvent it.) It won't stop them completely given how determined they are to post this nonsense across the site (and from what we've seen, many other sites too) but it should slow them down.

We're also exploring some longer-term measures that will require a bit of work to implement. We realise it may seem that we're doing nothing about it but we'd like to reassure you that this definitely isn't the case - we just can't say what!

In the meantime, thanks for continuing to report the spammers.

Do you have a fix for the inability to report? It's always when I have a quick 10 min when I can't sleep and I just use the app then.
