AI / Bot posts?

I’ve read several threads in the past few days that don’t seem genuine or even written by real people. The OP responds more frequently and more quickly than normal, and uses language that seems awkward with many phrases repeated in subsequent posts.

Is there a way for MN to tell if these are Bots posting? The topics are disturbing (abuse). Should they be reported?

We can't be absolutely sure if a thread's been posted using AI, but if you ever have any concerns at all then please hit the Report button.

If someone's new to the site, and particularly if they're posting something disturbing, we don't take any chances - we'll suspend the OP and take the thread down while we investigate.
