Annoying pop up

CarlaH · 27/09/2023 14:04

I keep getting a purple popup about asking a question of Bridget Phillipson.

Can I stop it happening?

I found it helpful as didn't know the thread existed.

Cookerhood · 27/09/2023 14:06

Me too. At least it will stop me browsing.

Hi all,

This is just to say - we've seen the thread and are looking into the popup. Thanks for flagging and we'll be along with an update soon.

LilyMumsnet · 27/09/2023 14:59

Hi all

We've now fixed this and the popup will show twice per session, and not appear again after that.

Ok

Right so we are now told it will only pop up twice in a session.

However, for ages now, once I have left the first page of Active topics, having pressed Load More I cannot return to the list of Active topics where I left it. I end up back on the first page. I was advised that a work around was to use the Open Link in New Tab option. If I do that it would appear that becomes a new session because every time I open a link I get the pop up AGAIN.

I usually go down the list of Active topics on both pages and open any threads that interest me and then work my way through them. So I am now seeing this blasted pop up over and over again.

Hello everyone,

Just to say that we have disabled this and you shouldn't see it going forward. Thanks for all your feedback.

BIWI · 28/09/2023 09:52

Hopefully MNHQ won't do this again then, @LilyMumsnet?!
