scanning photo prints

I am trying to scan my old photo prints to store online. Been using google photo scan successfully until I tried glossy prints. I get a reflection of me and the camera. Any suggestions as have tried all backgrounds and lighting. The app has anti glare and works well with matt prints but not with gloss ones.
