Can anyone tell me how to hide Promoted By Mumsnet Threads from my active threads list? Half the threads on it are Promoted by Mumsnet and for reviews I’m not interested in.

It’s so annoying. This is the first time I’ve noticed it and I can’t be alone in hating it. I have no interest in reading reviews or wanting to know someone’s experience on their child using a Chillis bottle or doing surveys.

Sometimes they appear on inappropriate topics - e.g. 'Boots new parent and baby event' on the Childfree thread list (bearing in mind that topic is inclusive of the childfree not by choice, that might be upsetting for some posters).

Something has changed as I’ve honestly never seen them before. I subscribe to MN as I got sick of the adverts and I’m not sure if they’ve changed settings or something. I’m not going to be paying for a subscription much longer to have shitty adverts shoved down my throat appearing in active threads or constantly see ones about doing surveys.

I completely agree about them appearing on inappropriate topics too.

@LilyMumsnet can you please explain to me why these have just appeared on my active threads list from this evening? I’m really not happy about this, half my active threads are promoted by MN rubbish.

I posted similar earlier! I also pay for a premium subscription and have never seen these posts until earlier today when my page refreshed itself and they suddenly appeared. MNHQ tried to fob me off saying they've always been visible for premium subscribers but...they definitely haven't...!

They’ve disappeared now thank goodness. They weren’t visible to me either before Wednesday, I’m glad they’ve gone!

I wish they'd keep them up to date - schools are back yet they're still advertising back to school shoes, how to measure feet for school and how to avoid queues to measure feet for back to school!
