Thread constantly crashes

I’m trying to read the Roisin Murphy thread but it either won’t load at all or crashes as I scroll through. I haven’t had a problem with other long threads, is there some ad or script trying to load which is failing?

I’m using safari on an iPad.

I’ve just tried Chrome on my iPhone and get the same problem.

Hello @AnxiousPangolin we're sorry it's crashing. We've been unable to recreate this on Safari or Chrome. It may be down to the length of the thread but if you've noticed a particular ad running alongside it please let us know. If you could send us a screen recording of what happens when you try and load the thread that would be very useful. Please post it here or send it to [email protected] - Thank you.

Im getting the same problem with the same setup as the OP. I have noticed that long threads are very slow to load, and crash irretrievably if I’ve bookmarked anything beyond about the halfway point.

@WyrdyGrob if this is happening for you across long threads, it will help to reduce the posts per page in your Talk settings: https://www.mumsnet.com/settings/talk

But it's only just started happening over the last few days so it's something that mumsnet has changed 🤷‍♀️

Hi there @DontDareToGetOld. Some people have been having this issue with longer threads for some time, unfortunately. We haven't changed anything that should have suddenly caused this, but as YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet says, for the most part, reducing your posts per page view to 25 or 50 should stop a big thread like this glitching.
