Why does the app still not support direct messaging?

I'm just curious why the app still doesn't support direct messaging? I never use my web browser, only ever the app on my iPhone and I just loaded something up on the browser by chance and noticed I had a number of messages I would never of seen. Is this something that is ever going to be introduced? Can we atleast receive a notification within the app that we have a direct message, as some of us have disabled all emails? Thanks

Hello @doingitalllagain thanks for posting. We're in the process of rebuilding the mobile apps to have the features of desktop and mobile. We're making good progress but as it's a massive job it's taking time. We understand that it's frustrating for our app users but please bear with us.
