Why are so many threads deleted ? It's like the minute a debate occurs the thread is removed

People can and do have sensible debate without the need to be mummied

And why the minute a thread is questioned is it removed ?

I was just posting on a thread begun by an autistic op on social conformity and bang , it's gone , why is this ?

So many threads are deleted now or take. Down saying they are being looked at without ever reinstalling them

What's the problem ? Presumably we're all adults here and if a thread grates we can scroll on ?

People were being quite rude but some answers were trying to be helpful

If you post here you know not everyone will agree , I don't see why the op should be silenced when they're asking a legitimate question

We don't mind civil debate, but we're not able to host a discussion where so many posts are a negative generalisation and therefor break our talk guidelines. We do our best not to delete threads but sometimes it's the only option.
