Unsure why thread removed?

Hi, I was just wondering if there's any way to find out why a thread was removed?
I started a thread about Pride that I thought would be 100% safe to post, asking a genuine question and sharing my perspective based on what I've seen from friends posts online to explain my confusion - But it was taken down :S
When I looked to see why, all it says is this?

"This thread has been deleted
We're taking the thread down now as it's not in the spirit."

I'm not really sure what it was about my post that wasn't in the spirit, could anyone from MNHQ let me know? "Not in the spirit" doesn't tell me a whole lot and I'm just genuinely baffled as to why it was removed.

Hi there @SpicyMoth. We've had a look back at your original post from that thread and we can see why it was deemed to be 'not in the spirit of the site'. We don't really want to repeat the particular parts that were a problem here as that sort of negates the point of deleting it, but if you hit the report button on your post above, we're always happy to have a chat about these things off the boards and explain further whenever we can.
