Name Changing in a thread

Hi, i thought you had implemented something that once you had posted in a thread your name stayed the same throughout?

It seems as though I have posted under two different names in this thread and it wasn't a deliberate change on my part.

Oh yeh, I noticed that. It's a good idea because I name change regularly (for good reasons) and so sometimes I felt a bit shady when I noticed that my second post on an old thread had a new screen name. But I never troll, I'm never snarky or mean. I'm supportive and follow the guidelines, but I can see that the old system was ripe for trolling half-termers to abuse.

Hi there @INeedAnotherName . Thanks for getting in touch. Are you by any chance posting on the app rather than the main site? We're afraid the app doesn't have the facility to pull the same name into a thread, so that might be why. If you're on the main site, let us know what browser and device you're on and we'll take a look at this.

In the meantime, we might be able to do a retrospective name change for you on that thread to make the names match up if you like? Just hit the report button on your post above and ask for that and we should be able to sort that out this morning.
