How can I stop a post coming up on the internet?

I want to post about something but I don't want my family to find it on google (unlikely but you never know). Another user told me that this was possible, but how? I will NC and leave details out to make it less outing, but if they read it then they will know it's about them!

The OTBT board isn't searchable and disappears after 30 days.

DelilahBucket · 23/07/2023 19:08

It isn't. Once you share your personal details on the internet it is there for all to see unless you get MN to remove it, and even then it will stay indexed on search engines for a few days, although it won't be fully viewable unless cached by someone.

Forgot about the OTBT board 🤦

YoBeaches · 23/07/2023 19:23

The what board?

The OTBT board - as two posters have mentioned already.

You could google it.

Just type in Mumsnet OTBT.

It stands for "Off the beaten track" if that's what you are asking.
