Is it me?

I was sending PMs this morning. They seem to go through to one friend OK.
But when I press Send, I see the dialogue in the box on the right of the screen.
But the first line which should be added to the recipients name box on the Left does not update.
System fault? Or, Did I say something and been blocked?
