Adverts taking over and bleeding through in between posts

Adverts are making it very hard to read posts, particularly in AIBU. It’s becoming more difficult to scroll down without activating them, they are constant refreshing, and in between posts there are flashing lines of advert which is very disconcerting.

Examples below (I can’t show how the advert is moving, unfortunately).

Is this intentional because it is making the site very hard to use, and I think we are getting to the point now where it’s more advert than posts.

I agree. Three adverts are already interrupting your 3 posts. I'm on an android smart phone

OP you can install this ad blocker for safari https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id1491889901

It gets rid of ads from all sites.

Hi @AuntieJoyce - we're sorry these ads are causing problems for you on the mobile site.

Can you please explain a bit more about the 'flashing lines of advert' you've mentioned? If you're able to do a screen recording that would help immensely - you can email it to us at [email protected]

In the meantime if you can also let us know the iPhone model you're using we'll see if we can check things out further at this end.

Thanks in advance.

Hello @AuntieJoyce could you also please let us know which device and browser version you are using, please? We're keen to get to the bottom of this ASAP.

Hi well a watched pot never boils does it so I can’t get it to replicate it now. It was early morning adverts that were animated, but all the adverts I can see it now are just fixed .

if it returns I’ll do as you suggest and email some footage. I am on iPhone 12 iOS 16.2

Thank you.

Thanks OP, hopefully that's sorted now but if not then we'll do our best to work out what's going on.
