Thought I'd create a separate thread as I've only even asked questions about it in others. I'd appreciate a reply that isn't 'in the near future'.

I use the app 97% of the time, for various reasons, but mainly because I find it much more accessible to me than the mobile version.

When will these features be available to app users?

• the ability to quote a quoted post
• voting

There are more things, but these are the most pressing for me as they impact my experience of the site.

Can anyone tell me when these will become available to users?

Any reason why features aren't available in the app when they're made for the mobile site?

Direct messages are another one for me. I can't work out how to send these via the app.

I think its ludicrous that we can't send or even see DMs via the app

Oh also, advance search hasn't worked for me for ages in the app, but that might be across the board. Always comes up with nothing

Also, is there a way to enlarge images on the app? I love the property threads but it's impossible to see floorplans properly.

We can't give an exact time frame right now but the work is underway and as we go further along, we can keep you more informed.

I've just submitted it, but I'll include another feature that occurred to me as I was doing it on here.

The ability to not just filter 'all posts' by OP, but to be able to 'see next' like on the desktop site.

On the android app I can't 'see all posts' by the OP at all. It's incredibly annoying. Feels like the android app is years behind the iphone app 😒

@wineymummy Thanks for feeding back on the Android app. We're conscious that the iOS and Android apps are very different, and we're looking to address this. We'd love to hear from you via this survey too if you haven't completed it already.

Hi there @NotAnotherBathBomb.

We’re continuing to work on the new apps and are aiming to release the first version later this year. We’ll be reaching out to some users who completed the above survey this week to ask if they’d like to do some 1-2-1 testing, so keep an eye on your inbox if you’d like to be involved!

The technology we currently use for the apps is dated and clunky, so it isn’t easy to add new features to them in the way we do on mobile web. As part of the improving the apps, we’re updating the technology that’s used to build them. This will make it much easier for us to add new features in the future and bring them up-to-date with the majority of features on web.

Hope that gives you a bit more information, and hopefully the new app features will be worth the wait!

I still can't do a search for a user or search successfully for a thread. When someone links a thread it takes me to the online version not the app and I can't watch it and have it appear on the app.

Don't get me started on the stupid quote feature.

I can't search on the app or the mobile site, haven't been able to for ages
