Why do you have save AND bookmark as options

What on earth is the difference?

It’s so confusing and cluttered

The bookmark feature is so you know where you got up to with reading a thread; the next time you go on the thread it will take you back to where you last bookmarked so you can carry on where you left off. I find it really useful.

The save feature is just if you want to save a post (or a thread) to look back on another time, for example if you found its content particularly interesting or amusing. Saved posts are shown under lists in your profile (at least on the website, not sure about the app).

You can Save Posts as well as Threads.

I am guessing the difference is that you get Notifications when new posts are added to Watched Threads but not when they are added to Saved Threads?

i don't get any notifications, must have declined them.
so i just keep a collection of i'm watching threads, so i can dip into them whenever.
i didn't know about the saved.
