Scottish education board

NicolaSturGONE · 29/03/2023 21:46

Education is a devolved matter (as is health and other things).

We have our own holiday dates, our own exam system, even higher education is different (tuition fees paid etc)

Yet the education board is entirely English discussions. Higher education board is mainly English discussions (even English parents with kids applying to Scotland)

Everything to do with Education in Scotland gets posted on Scotsnet but not everyone knows of Scotsnet. Its also rather unfair that we can't post within education without posts getting ignored or lost. Mumsnet does feel predominately English. So can we have a 'scottish education' board please.

Unless mumsnet wants to forget there's other parts of the UK too?

Hi OP

We're always happy to hear suggestions from our users.
We create new boards based on whether they will be used. We measure this by monitoring engagement on a thread like this one.

We'll keep an eye on things and if there are others that are interested in a Scottish education board, then we will definitely have a chat about it. Flowers
