Volume of fake posts

This last week we've had the full klaxon of goady posts, it is never ending and all posts have a similar style of writing, drop a contentious topic, at most reply a few times and then disappear only for their username to never be seen again.

I doubt you can do anything, they have always been here but the volume recently seems overwhelming and killing MN.

Hi @MrsRobinsonsHandprints - we're sorry if the site has seemed a bit trollish lately. As ever, please report any threads which concern you - we're always happy to check things out behind the scenes and will ban any new posters who appear not to be here in good faith.

We accept that there'll always be threads which might seem a bit provocative or mildly contentious - we're a discussion forum, after all. But we don't allow threads which are full-on inflammatory ones, so please report any which you think are crossing the line.
