Unsolicited sexual PMs

Is anyone else getting more and more messages like the one pictured?

I always felt MN was somewhat a safe space for women but my inbox is crawling with unsolicited messages such as this one.

@MNHQ can anything be done???

Hi OP

That message is from September 2022 - we banned that user at the time.
If you have any concerns about other users, please report them to us and we'll take a look right away.

I've got a fair few that I've reported as I've gone along.
Is there any way to stop messages like these coming through?

In advance of them being received? We can certainly chat to Tech about it, leave it with us. What usually happens with these trolls is they send a few of these messages at the same time and so we get them reported and the bloke is banned. It's not targeted at least, iykwwm? Sorry, though, they're not nice to receive that's for sure.

Sorry, that you have had these @SouperNoodle but I can’t help thinking you are adding fuel to the fire on the current Sex board topic - “inbox… crawling with msgs”, really?

I’ve been posting on the sex topic for over a year, obviously a woman, and have never had any messages (solicited or not).
How common is this? Anyone else?

I don't know how I'm shit stirring as I haven't mentioned the sex topic at all and as far as I can remember, have never posted in there 😂 thanks though.

And why I've not posted layer ones is because I have no later ones but many previous.
I only use the app so can't see inbox messages but used a laptop last night for the first time in a long time and saw that I had many messages.
