Bickering between me and another poster. She claims my post had flowers at the end and has posted a screenshot showing that.

I posted a 'hmm' face and have also posted my screenshot showing it.

Is the other poster involved in a weirdly elaborate bluff, or does MN somehow show different emojis for different users??

I see the one you put but it happens quite often on my phone where the emoji being used is replaced by flowers

But it would be a bit shit if you put flowers on a post about something sad and the op saw a laughing face. So it does need to be looked into I feel

Interesting that @Trinxsy says she has encountered this issue before. Is that using the app? I'm on my phone but looking at the mobile website, not the app.

Flowers on my post would have been far more odd/inflammatory than a sceptical expression. It was a fairly trivial dispute in this instance, but another time it might not be.

MN should investigate this. What a totally bizarre and potentially quite problematic glitch.

The android app is always a bit odd tbh. I use it out of stubbornness. It's desperate for some updates though.

its not an MN thing though, it's much bigger than that, I've had it happen on WhatsApp. As well as the issue that Apple & android can display the same emoticons differently.

Never known it anywhere else to my knowledge. If my phone can't display an emoji it comes up as and x in a little box

My android phone, in wottsapp, the 🙏🏻 emoji looks more like 🙇‍♀️ on the keyboard.

I need the 🙏🏻 quite often, and have to remember which 🙇‍♀️ to use.

Keeps happening to me too. Stopped using them.
