will it be on for much longer?

am I the only one who is finding it beyond annoying?

can I hide it? switch it off?

I might just have to go somewhere else for a while, I may be forced into doing some housework...

Crikey, steady on - don't do anything drastic!

OliviaMumsnet · 08/02/2008 10:31

Hi there
Which ad and where are you seeing it?
Thanks

kindersurprise · 08/02/2008 10:33

I complained moaned asked nicely recently for an ad to be removed as it was swirling and birling and making me mad.

The lovely ladies of MN waved their magic wand and it disappeared a day later.

aefondkiss · 08/02/2008 10:33

See, told you so.

Stay here, don't go doing housework. It will spoil your day.

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 08/02/2008 10:41

Get an ad blocker.

I see no adverts

Boredveryverybored · 08/02/2008 10:42

I hadn't noticed this ad until I read this, now it's driving me crazy aswell, and it's on every single thread I open!

aefondkiss · 08/02/2008 10:44

...if so charlotte Church, Gordon Ramsay et al should be in the magazine topic, beside hello etc

OP posts:
kindersurprise · 08/02/2008 10:44

I get German ads. At the moment I am being offered private health insurance, my own internet website and a degree from the University of Phoenix.

They do not bother me too much unless they are very colourful/moving/spinning

I have an ad blocker and still get ads though. SoupDragon, what ad blocker do you have?

aefondkiss · 08/02/2008 10:45

sorry bored, just think how tidy your house will be!

Soupdragon please explain ad blocker thing

SoupDragon · 08/02/2008 11:00

It's part of my virus/firewall software (Kaspersky, although others do it too). It blocks ads. It's wonderful

cyanarasamba · 08/02/2008 11:06

Aargh tis still there - are you trying to push me over the edge here???

aefondkiss · 08/02/2008 12:51

seems to be intermittently there, we must just be very sensitive to flashing today cyanara
