Why am I getting sex topic threads when I've hidden the topic?

Sex sells. A short amount of time between joining and posting, and sex related threads appearing on the main page of a website and hey presto - many, many more clicks and users. As if there aren't already enough sites out there for those who want to hook up and sex chat 🙄
