Bad medical advice

I reported a post that contained incorrect medical advice that could cause a child to develop a life threatening illness and you guys won't take it down.

Just starting this thread to make people aware of that.

I understand the importance of free speech but that's a really shitty way of running Mumsnet imo.

You're supposed to be a site to support mothers and women, but you're happy to have content that will endanger innocent children so that you get your clicks.

Hello @Lilgamesh2 thanks for posting. We understand you reservations about the post you mean. It was challenged on the thread by several other posters and in these cases, we'll often leave posts to stand as they could do more this way to clarify potential misinformation rather than if we just deleted them. We can't vouch for anyone's credentials, which is why we always urge people to seek medical advice in real life.
