Site keeps reloading

Anyone else having problems? Making site almost unusable. I'm using a Kindle. Good signal. Been interrupted 5 times in about 15 mins. Just slow generally too to do anything. F...ing annoying.

Please can we ask how many posts you're viewing per page, and what browser you're using?

It's been like this for me since the big update of 2022. The answer is always to go to a page view and I simply don't want to. For twenty years, I've been able to see 1000 posts without issue but suddenly, posts of more than double figures and it's constantly crashing, keeps glitching, can't load. Can't click on links and go back to the page without it freezing and crashing.

I feel like giving up.

By the way what is a page view? I only use a Kindle as catch up in bed and no mobile and laptop too big

It’s the same for me - better on an iPad than a phone but it’s because I haven’t switched to page view and the website can no longer cope, I imagine. I think it’s linked to the adverts because the page always crashes and has to reload for me when the message thread is interrupted by an advert. It’s a real pita.

Hi everyone - we are working on a fix for this but we do appreciate how inconvenient it is (and irritating when we keep saying the same thing!).

The solution right now is to view threads in page view, with 25 - 50 posts per page working for most people. You can change this in your Talk Settings.

Yup, this has been happening to me too. I thought it was my creaking computer or bad Wifi. Mostly on the longer threads, but I love the ability to scroll through al 1000 posts!

Still happening, keep losing keyboard when posting too, just miserable to use. No joy any more just hardwork to manage, wait, reload and so on
