Catalina crunch advert

I’m getting an ad for Catalina crunch that comes up at the bottom of the screen then animates, drawing a border around the whole screen before the border dissipates and the bottom rides up larger.

While it’s animating it’s not possible to click on any links. Is it supposed to do this? It’s really annoying!

I’m on iPadOS 15.6.1 on Safari.

We're investigating it now but can we ask, is your browser up to date? How often is this happening?

I’m on an iPad and my browser, Safari, auto updates so I may be a day or so behind, but never more than that.

Haven’t seen this ad this today, but had had it may be 10 times in the two or three days before I posted. (I don’t have super high confidence in this estimate, but I’ll make a note each time going forward and update).
