Hi OP

Please can you refresh the page? It should sort it temporarily but you may need to clear your cache too.

It's back to normal, thankfully... That was headache inducing. 😁

I've just had the same error. It did go away after I refreshed the page.

LookItsMeAgain · 12/01/2023 13:45

I have the same error too. I've refreshed the page but had no joy on the site going back to normal

LookItsMeAgain · 12/01/2023 13:45

I've had to reply via the app as the browser is unusable

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 12/01/2023 13:47

I've got the same thing; not going away no matter how often I refresh the page.

On chrome (via a mobile) if that makes a difference.

GrouchyKiwi · 12/01/2023 13:57

Clearing cache worked for me when refreshing didn't.

FuzzyPuffling · 12/01/2023 14:03

Stupid question..how do you clear a cache?

FuzzyPuffling · 12/01/2023 14:08

Well I've tried and am still getting the rubbish unusable version on my laptop. It's fine on my phone ( web version not app)

MangoBiscuit · 12/01/2023 14:15

On a desktop, crtl+F5 should ignore the cache and try to reload the site.

MangoBiscuit · 12/01/2023 14:17

You can clear the cache and force a hard reload in chrome by right clicking on a blank space, select "inspect". Ignore the window that pops up, it's the dev tools. Right click the refresh button next to the address bar, and select "Empty cache and hard reload" That should delete the cache and force a brand new load.

FuzzyPuffling · 12/01/2023 14:25

Thank you.

LookItsMeAgain · 12/01/2023 15:19

The browser version is working again and I didn't do anything different to the previous time when I was still getting the weird site with the huge logo.

LilyMumsnet · 12/01/2023 15:41

If you don't know how to clear your cache, you can find instructions on how to do it here: www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache
If that doesn't sort the problem out, please don't hesitate to come back to us and we'll have another look into how to solve this.

LookItsMeAgain · 12/01/2023 17:20

Hi @LilyMumsnet - I'm saying that when I posted at 15:19, my cache was exactly the same as it was at 13.45 when I was encountering the issue on the browser version.
I refreshed the page, didn't clear my cache and the site came back to normal all of it's own accord.
If I didn't have to clear my cache in order to get the site back on my browser as normal, I don't think it has anything to do with clearing the cache.
I know how to clear my cache, cookies and so on.

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 14/01/2023 17:23

Mine came back to normal on its own too. Has done this a few times in the past, I just ignore mn for a while and eventually it fixes itself.

MangoBiscuit · 15/01/2023 08:21

@LookItsMeAgain From the screenshots the OP posted, it looks like the stylesheet wasn't downloading. So the issue won't actually be the cache, but clearing it will trigger the site to try to fetch the resource again. Just refreshing the page can sometimes do this, but not always, so clearing the cache is usually reccommended. (apologies if I'm explaining what you already know)

Thanks @MangoBiscuit ! Flowers
