I know it is possible to name change for future posts . But is there any way that a name can be changed so it is a different name on a thread we have already created if that makes sense ?

I have made a post and I'm worried it may be identifiable to people I know in real life. I had a lot of valuable advice and don't want to pull the thread but I will ask for it deleted I think if I can't . As there is something in my current username that would make it easier for me to be recognised in rl

Hi @jesseastmids - yes, we're able to change your username on any past posts or threads.

If you hit the report button on the thread in question and let us know the name you'd like us to change it to, we'll sort this for you straight away.

We can only change it to a name that's registered to your account, so you may need to go into your MyMumsnet page and assign yourself another name if you want one that isn't connected to any of your past posts.
