How do I get rid of this red number

It started appearing today.
I've turned all notifications off but it persists.
It's telling me when there's a new post on a thread I'm watching etc.

I just ignore it.

Don't want to.

I have a blue number which indicates two new PMs. But I don’t have any! It’s annoying but I just ignore it too.

Go to settings. More settings. Notifications. Website notifications. You can turn them off there.

Hi @BeatriceBatchelor - as RhymeHasAReason has said, you should be able to turn these notifications off by clicking on the red button, then Settings, and making sure all options are set to 'No'. You can also click on the 'Mark all as read' tab.

Can you please double-check that you've de-selected all the notification options? Thanks in advance.
