There’s been a load of weird deletions overnight. Think something’s going on at MNHQ.

Ah I thought So! One went off food and drink recipe thread and I was racking my brains what could possibly have been said.

Oh no, was that the 'what job would you do if money was no object' thread. That was a great thread and I was after some ideas for inspiring jobs. Fingers crossed they can bring it back 🤞

Some very odd decisions going on

I think 5 or 6 threads have gone in total and I think they were all created by the same user.

If you can imagine all of the innocuous titles, then I guess they could all be 'quite interesting little news artciles for the time of year' so lazy journalist spamming the site is my guess.

That was certainly my take on that particular OP, I almost engaged until I realised and thought better of it.

Hi @kateandme - sorry for the delay here.

It looks like we took that thread down because we suspected the OP was a journo (and a previously banned poster). They'd only recently joined and had posted TWENTY THREE threads, all with just one line in the opening post, and hadn't responded to any of them.

It looks like we mass deleted all of their threads and posted a standard deletion message to save time. We know some of the threads seemed like pretty harmless ones but we don't believe this was a genuine Mumsnetter so we'd rather not leave their threads to run.
