Just as above . I keep getting a pop up without touching anything saying as a google customer I have won an iPhone.

Same thing happening here, won an iPhone, click back then another website, and then on to The mirror paper page with an article about Richard Branson. Hackers?

Now popping up every few seconds - chucks me out of mumsnet

It knows what network you are, I think, because every website essentially has something written into it which will request info from the users device to make sure the website works well for them - eg it will receive info about the users device, platform/operating system, browser, version, connection etc. It’s called a User Agent string/ User Client Hint or something like that. It will make sure that the website displays correctly for the screen size of your device etc. There are some obvious privacy concerns here, especially seeing as the pop up doesn’t seem to be coming from the website we are all trying to look at - assume it’s an ad server getting our info and gone rogue?
