Mumsnet makes my phone so hot.

As the title suggests. Any ideas why?

It's iPhone 12 with latest updates of everything.

Hi @Wallywobbles do you have a lot of apps running in the background? This may be causing your phone to heat up. If so, please try closing the apps and seeing if this makes a difference.

No no apps running in the background, but when I open Mumsnet the heat is pretty instantaneous.

@Wallywobbles Can we ask what browser you're using? Assuming you're on the site and not the app.

It does the same to me on my mac, using safari, i no longer use it. This is not the first time I have seen this reported.

Yeah it sends my MacBook Air fans crazy too - little else does.

No other sites seem to do this.

My phone (iPhone 14) has started overheating when using the Mumsnet app.

Only started a couple of weeks ago, and only when using this app

Doing it again today

Yep, this is happening again. Mumsnet is draining my battery after just 5 mins and making my phone very hot.
