I've had this happen a few times lately, I have not clicked anything nor have I overed over anything, but suddenly the page reloads and I am taken to a fairly dodgy looking page of some sort, often Kaspersky objects to it and won't take me there.

I can't see that it is my PC but im on windows 11, firefox browser is up to date.

Can you let us know what adverts you saw on the page when this happened? A screenshot would be really helpful if you can get one!

It's just happened again argh and no I don't know what adverts were on the page when it happened...

I was typing.. then the page jumped to the bottom .. I scrolled up to click on the input window, started typing and was redirected to another page (same sort of stuff as before), but I've no idea what adverts were on the page, sorry! Will try and take note in future each time I start typing or reading a thread!

Just now, whole page ad for Aviva insurance 'behind' the forum view (so filling the screen except for the actual thread/forum stuff). Not sure what was running in the right hand bit, if anything, just the big yellow Aviva stuff.

Not sure where it wanted to take me as Kasperksy said a firm no and something about phishing.

Please could you get us a screenshot as soon as you are able?

@RedDiamond thank you so much for the links - we are investigating this and will have it resolved ASAP. Please could you get a screenshot next time it happens? And could you please let us know what device and browser you are using to access the site?

I'll try for a screen shot but it tends to go frozen or blank, then a page with a message saying you're being redirected and then to wherever you land, if Kaspersky or similar doesn't intervene and stop it.

Sorry no chance of catching the redirect screen and I didn't notice the ads again, I was around page 4 of the 'when the world went quiet' thread on AIBU if thats of any use (im sure it isn't!)

No big background ad running though, only right hand side blocks, if that.
