@MNHQ now you decide this after letting the thread stand for long enough to cause bad feeling.

Hi @JaneJeffer we try and avoid deleting threads where we can and if there is animosity we try and get things back on track. On reflection, this thread ran on for longer than it should have done and certainly we didn't think there was much value in allowing it to continue upsetting people.

Thanks for your reply @YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet. I really think MN should know that an OP such as that was never going to have any value though!

However, it did teach me that one long term poster is actually a horrible person so at least I learnt something from it.
