Why do you post deleted threads on to your fb page?

This is the second time that I’ve seen, probably others have happened too.

But on your Facebook page you post threads. I go to click the link to read more and it’s been deleted for being a troll thread

Hi @Soubriquet

Thanks for checking us out on social! As you've probably noticed, we've recently changed how we post on Facebook. We share a large handful of threads daily and to do this, we use a scheduling tool.

Because we are sharing a large number of threads and scheduling them to go out in the future, it can sometimes lead to deleted threads being shared. Threads that weren't deleted at the time of scheduling.

We're trying to minimise this as much as possible, and we do remove the threads from Facebook when this is flagged - but we're planning on discussing a way to prevent this from happening.

Sorry for the inconvenience - we know it's annoying when you want to read a thread and you're greeted with a big blue deletion message!

@LilyMumsnet
With some threads that can have useful information but unfortunately it was either a previously banned poster or a troll, is their a method where the thread could be frozen, so anyone else needing the information may read it ?

This is a great idea and something that we'll discuss. Ultimately, we never want to give the trolls more attention - but we're aware that some great info can be shared and it's a shame to lose it.

That's very true, it's like if I'm on a thread that's likely to get pulled, on my Amazon tablet I try to add it to my read later list so it saves a copy especially if it's very lengthy.
