Can a search be done in the app or just the browser?

I haven't tried it in the app. I use the browser even on my phone.

So glad to hear that you're loving the new search!
Currently, we don't have the filters on the app - but you can do it from the mobile site in the meantime.

Is it new and shiny? It doesn't look any different as far as I'm concerned!

(I'm on the desktop site if that makes any difference?)

Are you looking at the right bit @BIWI ? I missed it at first. I think the new advanced search is a huge improvement and will even search phrases if you use inverted commas

Is there any way to only show one result for each thread? So if I search for e.g. pasta and there's a 30 page thread about pasta recipes I don't have to scroll pasr dozens of results from that thread?

It looks like you can select by thread title or OP only @poweredbysteam

It doesn't go to a specific username's posts though, just the thread they're on, as far as I can see.

Yes it does! I searched your name and it listed all the threads you've posted on, with only your name under the thread title.

(What I don't think it does though, is list all the posts you might have made on that thread - just the first one)

@BIWI I tried yours and this is what I get, just the thread and I have to scroll it to find your post and then you weren't even on there
